Best Summer Camp in Bengaluru | BFC Soccer Schools Summer Camp
With the school summer break around the corner, parents want their children to stay active and engaged. They also want the holidays to be more than just screen time.
This summer, BFC Soccer Schools is hosting its Summer Camp, and for many kids, it has become a meaningful way to stay active and enjoy a routine that keeps them engaged beyond screens. In this blog, we’ll break down what our Summer Camp looks like – including how a typical week is planned, what children learn on and off the pitch, and how the camp supports development beyond football training.
How BFC Soccer Schools’ Summer Camp Is Planned to Support Player Development
Most parents hear “summer camps” and picture kids running around a field for a few hours. But at BFC Soccer Schools, a grassroots football academy, the experience is thoughtfully structured and built around real development. Each week of the camp is carefully planned by our coaches, with sessions designed around compounding skill development. This means that when a technique is introduced at the start of the week, it is reinforced through the following sessions so young players can gradually build comfort and confidence to apply the skill effectively in a match.
This structure is followed from Monday to Friday. And, as the week leads into Saturday, the focus shifts from training to match play. Even then, the experience is more structured than most parents expect. Matches are played through the Blue Cubs League in smaller-sided formats such as 5v5 and 7v7. Unlike traditional 11v11 games, these formats create an environment where each player gets more ball involvement and more opportunities to make decisions under game pressure.
A Special Welcome Gift for Every Player
One of the most exciting moments for players is receiving their own Summer Camp kit. The kit includes BFC-branded jerseys and shorts. Having the full kit from day one helps players settle in quickly and feel part of the camp.
Beyond Training: Off-Field Sessions That Shape Young Players
Alongside football training, the BFC Soccer Schools Summer Camp in Bengaluru includes off-field learning that supports long-term player development.
-
-
- Nutrition Sessions for Young Athletes: Players attend nutrition sessions designed specifically for young athletes. In previous camps, these sessions were led by Khushi Jaiswal, a sports nutritionist from the Inspire Institute of Sport. She explained nutrition and helped children understand what to eat before training, how to stay hydrated during matches, and how to refuel properly after playing.
- Masterclass with Senior BFC Staff: One of the most valuable learning moments of the camp comes through a dedicated masterclass with senior members of BFC’s coaching staff. These sessions help children understand the game beyond just technique by focusing on football IQ, teaching players how to read situations, make better decisions, and understand why certain choices matter on the pitch.
- Sports Psychology for Young Players: Football is emotional, especially for kids. A missed chance or a tough loss can stay with them long after the final whistle. Through our sports psychology sessions, we help players understand those emotions and learn how to respond with calm and confidence. Over time, these skills extend beyond the pitch, helping children stay calm during exams and social situations.
- A Session BFC First Team Players: For many kids, the highlight of the camp is hearing directly from players who represent BFC at the highest level. When they share their journey, the dream of playing football professionally begins to feel achievable.

While children remain at the heart of the Summer Camp experience, parents are also closely involved in the journey. Through online nutrition and sports psychology sessions, parents gain a better understanding of how to support their child’s development beyond the pitch. In addition, an offline life support workshop helps parents manage expectations and provide the right kind of support without adding unnecessary pressure.

Long-Term Player Assessment & Selection Opportunities
Players at the summer camp are assessed through an ongoing evaluation process focused on long-term potential rather than one-off performances. Coaches track improvement, attitude, and how players respond to feedback through regular observations and structured reports across training sessions and matches. This gives coaches a clearer picture of a player’s overall development across different situations. For players who consistently show progress, this assessment process can blossom into meaningful opportunities within the BFC ecosystem. For example, some players may be considered for advanced squads, scholarship support, or further exposure through the BFC Academy pathway.
That said, before going any further, there’s an important distinction to be clear about. Selection isn’t the goal for every child. The real value lies in development, confidence, and learning to love football. But for players with professional ambitions, it can also be a meaningful stepping stone.

A Summer Experience That Lasts Beyond the Holidays
Most summer camps are designed to keep kids occupied during the holidays. At BFC Soccer Schools, however, we believe the real value of a summer camp lies in providing young players with experiences that shape how they approach challenges – both on the pitch and beyond it. The lessons learned during our camps aren’t confined to match days or training sessions; they slowly become part of how children learn to face challenges with confidence and maturity.
If this sounds like the kind of environment you’ve been looking for, our first summer camp batch in Bengaluru starts on 30th March. Get in touch to reserve your child’s spot and give them a summer well spent.
